Baby Sea Turtles Rescued & Released in Bonaire
Tuesday, 17 September 2013

Some of us at Coral Paradise Resort Bonaire were lucky enough to go out with Sue from Bonaire's Sea Turtle Conservation Organization and volunteers Jannie & Hans. Wow!!!

Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire (STCB) can be found at http://www.bonaireturtles.org/  It is a non-governmental research and conservation organization that has been protecting sea turtles since 1991. The small Caribbean island of Bonaire is our headquarters and home to three of the world’s six endangered or critically endangered species of marine turtles: the hawksbill, green, and loggerhead turtle.

What a blast that was and at the same time we had this great feeling within knowing that some sea turtles were saved thanks to their hard work. These photos show the trip over to Klein, the work involved in finding and digging for them and some of the turtles that were saved. Some were dug in too deep, udder rocks or roots deep in deep sand etc. Knowing how to track, recognize and find the turtles are something Sue, Jannie & Hans are good at. We were happy to observe and lend a hand for this great experience.

Check out some of the photos below and see our videos of the trip by clicking Link  http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNPCmvzsZtYKajdCuqT0D4w

Thanks and hope to SEA you soon.... Kenny  Margaret  Louise

THE HONEYMOONERS Helen & Bill
Saturday, 07 September 2013

Coral Paradise Resort would like to congratulate Helen & Bill on their new journey as a married couple. ImageImage They stayed with us at Coral Paradise and we really enjoyed meeting them. Their enthusiasm for nature and all that it offers was most evident in the adventures they participated in while on Bonaire. A great couple, just the happiest folks that you could ever meet.

Below is just one of special adventures they joined in on. Helping newly hatched Sea Turtles make there way to the sea. Some of these turtles may have never made it if not for the volunteers helping the Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire (STCB) is a non-governmental research and conservation organization that has been protecting sea turtles since 1991. http://www.bonaireturtles.org/

Just the look on Helen and Bills  face tells how much they enjoyed helping the newborns get the sea. Man of the turtles would not have make it if not for volunteers like this.

Below is a few more folks joining in on the fun.

NEWEST BONAIRE DIVER
Thursday, 18 July 2013

Gary, Robin, Evan & Addison (Addi) were here at Coral Paradise Resort on Vacation.

The family was exploring & discovering life under & above the sea.  Thirteen year old Addi was snorkeling and having a blast.

She decided that she wanted to be diving with her family under the sea so she became certified here in Bonaire and became the Newest PADI Baby. The girl is a fish and ya can't keep her out of the water.

Congratulations  Addi on your O/W Certification and a job well done
